Carlos Zaragoza is the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for Lynwood Unified School District. He began serving the Lynwood community in 2010 as Principal of Lynwood High School. During his tenure, he led transformative initiatives, including the elimination of tracking, promotion of heterogeneous classes, and advocacy for open access to Advanced Placement courses. These efforts resulted in Lynwood Unified being honored as the 2017 AP District of the Year by the College Board. Over the past seven years, he has served as a leader in the Human Resources department, first as Director and now as Assistant Superintendent. In this role, he has successfully guided the implementation of the District’s strategic plan, focusing on cultivating talent to retain, support, and develop Lynwood employees. He is dedicated to creating a climate of trust within the Lynwood Unified School District by empowering administrators to inspire their staff.
