Dr. Mathew Espinosa-Castro (he/him/él) is an Assistant Professor of Social Justice and Language Education at Sacramento State University. He has been a CALSA member, serving as a county-, district-, and school-level administrator for 11 years in Northern California focused on educational equity, family engagement, and multilingual education. His research and professional development work focuses on equipping teachers and educational leaders with the mindsets, resources, and practices to develop culturally and linguistically responsive and inclusive learning environments.
