Ms. Norma E. Martinez has been with the Centralia Elementary School District since 2010 and is honored to be its Superintendent since 2015. She proudly leads her award-winning district with schools in the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park and La Palma. Her schools have received recognition as National Blue Ribbon, CA Distinguished, CA Green Ribbon, PBIS Platinum and others. An educator for over 30 years, she is known as a transformative and service-oriented leader who believes that great schools help foster strong communities, improving the quality of life for students and families. Ms. Martinez is committed to supporting the whole child, addressing opportunity gaps in learning, and preparing her scholars to be future-ready learners. She is an advocate for meeting the needs of students, particularly those who are historically disadvantaged and is intentional in bridging school-community partnerships. She has strengthened community support through the award-winning Centralia Collaborative, Neighborhood Resource Center, and Centralia Boutique. Ms. Martinez is a strong community volunteer and serves on several non-profit boards.
